These courses are designed for managers and employees in any organization who have responsibility for the safety and security of personnel and clients and would be responsible for overseeing safety and welfare of employees in the workplace.

The courses provide an introduction to basic risk assessments and threat analysis of the organization and the location in which it exists. Students will address the contents of contingency plans based on their risk and threat assessments, and analyse the training requirements and the roles individuals need to perform while preparing for / dealing with a disaster.

The course also demonstrates the need for a Business Continuity Plan. Students learn a systematic approach to acquiring and analyzing information necessary to support decision-makers in the protection of assets and the development of a Business Impact Analysis. The course looks at types of threats and the process of preparing, mitigating, responding, and recovering from emergencies and disasters.
