With eight of these years as a Firearms Instructor on the Training and Tactical Firearms Unit.

He holds an advanced Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Christ Church University College, Canterbury, England. This qualification enhanced the skills obtained as a National Firearms Instructor and has allowed the director to develop as a teacher, coach and instructor in many aspects of training.
